Three Gorges Dam China

The Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric dam that spans the Yangtze River by the town of Sandouping, located in Yiling District, Yichang, Hubei province, China. The Three Gorges Dam is the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity (22,500 MW) but is second to Itaipu Dam with regard to the generation of electricity annually.

The Itaipu Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Paraná River located on the border between Brazil and Paraguay. The name "Itaipu" was taken from an isle that existed near the construction site. In the Guaraní language, Itaipu means "the sound of a stone".The dam's 14,000 MW installed capacity is second to the Three Gorges Dam's 22,500 MW.

The Kashiwazaki–Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant is owned and operated by The Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO). It is the largest nuclear generating station in the world by net electrical power rating. It has a 8,212 MW capacity, though only 4,912 MW are operational after an earthquake in 2007.
